Canada is considered as the country with the most developed and most efficient PPP in the world with more than 180 projects implemented at the capital value above 70 billion CAD. The Croatian delegation represented by Mr. Damir Juričić, PhD, Managing Director of the Agency and Mr. Danijel Kušljić, PhD, Head of PPP Department in the Centre for Monitoring Business Activities in the Energy Sector and Investments has attended the conference among numerous international delegations.
They had an opportunity to talk to the representatives of the Canadian institutions responsible for the implementation of the PPP projects and thus they met Mr. Steve Rohacek, vice President of the Infrastructure Ontario, who is in charge for development and financing of the projects and Mr. Peter Asselstine, Director of the Marketing. Further, they have exchanged the experience in the institutional and legal field with Ms. Sarah Clark, the President and CEO of Partnerships British Columbia.
It was recognized that the Croatian legal and institutional framework is structured in line with the world best practice and the project preparation procedure for implementation of the public investments applying the PPP model is highly rated too.
