The Agency for Public Private Partnership and Center for Monitoring Business Activities in the Energy Sector and Investments have organized the workshops on PPP in Zagreb, Osijek, Rijeka and Split in the period from 19th September to 2nd October. The workshops were open for all interested participants involved in realization of PPP model in Croatia and thus attracted numerous representatives from local public and private sector. The Managing Director of the Agency Mr. Damir Juričić, PhD and Managing Director of the Center Mr. Dragan Marčinko have presented the new procedure in preparation, approval and implementation of the PPP projects proscribed by the new PPP Act and Regulation. The Discussion has initiated the questions related to the advantages of the PPP model, the timeline and the efficacy of the public investment preparation, and the criteria on which is based the most affordable model for the tax payers. Thus the focus was mostly directed to the analytical approach in the preparation of the public investments.
During the workshops it was presented new investment cycles amounting to 14,9 billion HRK in the sector of construction, upgrading and reconstruction of the schools and hospitals in several Croatian counties and the project of the construction of the administration building for the judiciary at the Trg pravde in Zagreb.
