The third OECD – SIGMA workshop held on 26th – 27th May 2009

 

The Agency hosted 26th and 27th May the third workshop in cooperation with OECD – SIGMA and its consultants Mr. Martin Oder, Ms. Mary Dunne and Mr. Bernard McLoughlin. The workshop attended the Agency’s staff and the representatives of the Ministry of Finance.

On the workshop agenda were the following topics: the criteria for the project evaluation, the validity of the implementation of the public private model and the case studies analysis.

The cooperation with OECD – SIGMA has started in 2006 and is financed by EU funds. The workshops are scheduled on the bimonthly basis and so far 18 workshops were held. The following workshop is scheduled for July, 9th to 10th.

In the past, the topics were focused on the institutional and legal aspects of the public private partnership in the Republic of Croatia, the alignment with the acquis communautairre and the practice in the EU under the Chapter 5. Public procurement. The cooperation with OECD – SIGMA has contributed to the strengthening of the administrative capacity of the Agency and other institutions in the national system, especially the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship.

This year the workshops are focused on the quality of the project assessment and the implementation of the PPP projects in line with the Act on the Public Private Partnership (OG 129/08) and the subsequent regulations (OG 56/09).
